5 piece french wardrobe update #1

Read Article →

Almost a year ago I decided to start the famous 5 piece french wardrobe thing. Do you remember the rules? Here we go. Theory: The idea is to buy just 5 new items each season. Since there are just two seasons in fashion (let's believe in "slow fashion", shall we?) that's exactly 10 pieces per year. Basics (like socks, undies, etc.) and accessories don't count. Shoes and bags do. I think now it's a good time to sum up the last 12 month...

watch out // get 15% off

Read Article →

I was overjoyed when the UPS guy brought me a packet from Daniel Wellington the other day. DW watches are so minimalistic and unpretentious, I'm deeply smitten! I don't wear watches very often and not necessarily for keeping time, but as accessories. DW watches have such a classic design to them, don't you think? I love the classic look, so chic! If you like this watch, you can get ...

Several Fashion Houses (Saint Laurent and Chanel among them) made socks kind of the new statement piece and have even brought them on the runway. show me your hands

With the temperature dropping I'm in need of some extra beauty care. A good hand cream is definitely part of my winter beauty survival guide. Is there anything worse than dry, irritated and chapped hands? Over the years I have tried several hand creams and hand lotions. Mostly I chose the one in the most beautiful packaging or with most adorable smell. Far wrong!

high heels vs. sneakers

Read Article →

I seem to have given up all delusions of grandeur in favor of a more active way of life. Last year I was happy for every inch of extra height my heels could give me. The higher, the better. You know the pain, don't you? Well, Chanel says, it's OK to wear sneakers. Then who am I to disagree?

The sweater weather has arrived. You won't find many sweaters in my wardrobe (I prefer cardigans) but there is one type of sweater I love dearly: the turtleneck. If I got granted a (fashion) wish, I would wish for the oversize knit by Céline ...

Paris Fashion Week is long over but just now I've found the time to take a closer look at Chanel's défilé. It left me bouche bée. Amazing! The scenario - the Boulevard Chanel inside the Grand Palais in Paris - gorgeous! And - that goes without saying - the collection!
